Darren Dupont is a Canadian born sports broadcaster, entrepreneur, speaker, and now part-time actor. Over nearly two decades he has been the voice behind many memorable moments calling games on television, radio and streaming, primarily hockey and football. His dynamic presence and warm personality have set him apart. As part of Canada’s most comprehensive University football television coverage, Dupont has been a fixture for over a decade. In 2020 he became the lead television play-by-play voice and has called the Hardy Cup championship game since.
Dupont’s career began in hockey as the radio play-by-play voice of the Kindersley Klippers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. He has now been on television covering the Canadian Hockey League since 2014 including Western Hockey League championships and now with Rogers TV in the Ontario Hockey League.
Dupont is also a passionate supporter of University hockey and has called two University Cup national championship tournaments and several more Canada West conference championships.
With a career spanning over two decades, Darren has established himself as a versatile voice in sports media, providing play-by-play commentary, hosting, and analysis for various platforms, including Canada West Football on Shaw.
Beyond the broadcast booth, Darren is the founder of Dupont Media, a company specializing in brand development and media production. Through this venture, he has launched initiatives aimed at mentoring aspiring broadcasters and expanding digital media offerings, such as streaming channels and original programming.
